Just Like Mommy

It seems that Mom and I share the same passion for order and organization. Just moments before the picture, these bowls and lids were scattered in the floor. I patiently put a lid on each bowl, then lined them up to admire them.Later, I played with my friends... by arranging them on a coaster facing forward, then stepping back and saying "Hi Guys!". Mom said she loves that I look like Dad on the outside, but have her OCD tendencies on the inside!

Train

This weekend Mom and Dad took me to see a train. I LOVED it! This is the face I made when they told me I was going to ride it. For the rest of the day I kept saying "All Aboard!", "toot toot!", and "more tunnel?". And now my favorite bedtime story is "The Little Engine That Could"- I call it the "tain" book.
We also played on the slide and dinosaur.
But, the best part of the day was when I tried to strip in front of all the nice families at the park. I just learned how to take my shirt off at home, and I like to practice at every opportunity.
Mom's favorite part of the day was catching this face on camera... Hmmm, a glimpse into the future as I enter the Terrible Twos?

Pirate Parade

Time for the annual kid's pirate parade! We got together with our friends again this year to go see the floats and boats. The walk over to the parade was great, we chewed on our stroller straps for most of it. The pre-show coloring was my favorite... and I loved the awesome beads. Dad let me ride on his shoulders to see the funny pirates... until I got frustrated and clawed his ear off.
It was a good time- I can't wait for next year!

Nana and Papa

Last week my Nana and Papa came for a visit. It was AWESOME (as you can tell by the huge smile on my face)! I recognized them right away, and kept pointing at them, saying "Nana!" and "Papa!", as if they didn't already know their names. We spent a day at Busch gardens, where we saw the "amm-als" (animals), including my favorite, the "be-bra" (zebra). The only thing I didn't like was posing for pictures close to my nap time.
One of the best parts of the day was seeing the monkeys... or was that my Dad?The baby wallaby was so cute, snuggled in its pouch.Meeting the smelly llama was nice, since one of my favorite books is "Is Your Mama A Llama?". My Nana was super sweet- she gave me this outfit with ladybugs on it- perfect for twirling! She even sacrificed a pair of glasses just so I could play with them. Mom and Dad had a blast, too- especially when I was sleeping and they didn't have to chase me!It was sad to see them go back home- but we hope they can visit again soon!

Bye Bye Binky

Farewell to my good friend... 9 days ago I took the Big Girl step of getting rid of my binky. Mom and I gathered up all of my green friends and put them in a basket. We carried them out to the front porch and waved "bye bye" for a long time. That night I cried desperately for my beloved, but when we looked on the porch, the basket was empty. Dad said the neighbor's cat must have stolen them all. It was hard to say goodbye, but now I tell everyone how that mean old cat took my binky.

Cabbage Patch Nation

Look what Mom pulled out of storage! We had a great time cleaning up all of her old Cabbage Patch Kids this weekend. I liked them... for a minute. Truth is, I like coloring with my new markers right now, and dolls just aren't my thing. So, my new "friends" are going to live in my closet until I am ready to play with them... Freaky.

Christmas With My Cousins

New Christmas tradition #1: matching pajamas! It was so much fun to catch up with my cousins over the holiday...We fought over toys, had a stare-down over the tool bench, entertained Mawmaw, tried chocolate icing for the first time, discovered the thrill of shredding open gifts and making messes, and enjoyed spending time with people we love!
