My new favorite toy!
I love to pull it off the roll, tear it apart, swing it around my shoulders like a feather boa, and wave it in the air like a big flag.
Then I take little pieces and carry them around while I crawl and practice standing. Mom thinks it's funny that I hold it out to show her, beaming with pride.

Kalyn at the Beach
Today we went to the beach- it was a perfect day!
Kalyn found a good spot to dig in the sand...
And made a hole for the water to fill so that I could splash around...
And found all of these pretty shells!
We cooled off in the shade, and even took a little nap. It was the best time- I am going to miss my new best friend when she goes home!

Dad has been teaching me what "No" means when I try to pull the bow out of my hair.

Cool Whip
So... Mom thought it would be a good idea to give me an empty Cool Whip bowl to keep me busy (and contained) in the kitchen while she made Easter treats for my teachers.
She didn't really think it through, since she was in a big hurry...
Then she remembered that she didn't rinse it out first!
I. LOVE. COOL. WHIP. So much for the "No sugar until your first birthday" rule. Dad says that I am never allowed to watch "Varsity Blues".

The Beach
Mom and Dad introduced me to the beach this weekend! It was different than what I remember the first time we went...It was overwhelming at first, with the cold water and the loud waves. But, we just took our time and relaxed on the sand until I was ready to jump in. For those of you that are wondering why we are all wearing shirts instead of bikinis... you can thank my parents for being fanatics about skin cancer. My favorite part of the day was playing in the sand: grabbing it, throwing it, eating it, and pouring it down Mom's shirt. What a great day!
