Gift of Gab

We are going through a language explosion at our house.  Ryan never stops talking! He loves to tell us what he knows, then waits for us to acknowledge him by either repeating it back, or telling him "Good Job". One morning he brought a box of flashcards into the kitchen to teach Mom: Flashcards

We've decided this is our favorite age so far: Hello?

Daddy Daycare

Dad did a good job taking care of us for a whole weekend all by himself while Mom was working long days. He knew exactly when to take a doughnut break,
And captured all of our adorable moments in pictures to send to Mom.
Mom was so happy to get back home to us!

Spring Break Cousins

I love this girl! I asked Mom if Kalyn could stay with us every day, forever. My favorite part of the week was our Girls Day.  Mom and Julie took us to the mall, where we got our nails painted and shopped at the Disney store.
We should start a fan club called Everybody Loves Kalyn.  Mom said I was a good big sister because I let Ryan love on Kalyn, too.
He just wanted to be a part of the fun,
even begging us to let him jump in our fizzy bubble bath.
It's hard to resist his devilish charm...
So Mom and Julie got their picture for Nana after all.

Spring Break Disney

We took a day trip to Magic Kingdom, on what was apparently the hottest day of the decade.
Mom and Julie were determined to get one good picture of the grandkids for Nana. Just one.

Is it so hard to get 3 kids to look at the camera in the blazing sun at the same time? Maybe Nana would prefer this lovely picture of Kalyn and Julie.
Or a giant canvas family shot?

Maybe next year...

We spent plenty of time waiting in the famous Disney wraparound lines,
giving Ryan a chance to snuggle with his favorite new friend.
Nobody was complaining because the air conditioning felt great.
We checked out the new Fantasyland area that is still partially under construction,

and even had lunch at the Beauty and The Beast castle.
Ryan's favorite part of the day was the Dumbo ride,

followed by a cool down at the splash park,
and a quick rest on Dad.
He was too tired for our last ride of the day,
He'll be ready to party with the big kids next year!

Spring Break 2013

Best. Week. Ever. Our Aunt Julie and Cousin Kalyn came down for spring break!
Even Maggie and Moxie were loving every minute with them.
We spent hours and hours playing in the pool.
Watching and giggling as Little Man got acquainted with his new floaties.

He never did figure out how to kick his legs to move in the water... he just kept doing this full body convulsion that kept us laughing.

Graceful technique aside, he loved splashing around with Kalyn!

She's the best mermaid swimming pal.
And she brought me a pair of goggles!

This was just the first day of a week full of awesome fun times.

Karate

I just started a karate class at school, and it's kind of awesome.
We learn about confidence, discipline, and respect.  But mostly we learn how to beat up mean boys like Tate with moves like palm strike.
And we learn how to protect ourselves with moves like high block. This week we earned the first stripe toward a yellow belt.  My teacher said I did a really good job: Kelsey Karate.

Trains

Ryan has developed two new obsessions, Lightning McQueen and Chuggington.  He loves to play with his new train tracks.  Mom even caught 20 seconds of us playing peacefully together: Trains.
And a visit to the toy store can be as much fun as a day at DisneyWorld: Chuggington

Dr. Seuss Week

After celebrating Dr. Seuss Week at school, I was inspired to read my very first book: Green Eggs And Ham, and even to make up my own rhyming stories: Kelsey The Poet.

What?

We find ourselves falling in love with this little man more and more every day.  He has a new routine in the morning- he pretends to go back to sleep and when we whisper "hey", he snaps back with: What?.
And he loves the high five "too slow" joke: "High Five".
