New Words

What a week- I've had an explosion of new words! Mom captured some of her favorites on this video: "nose", "eye", "apple","woof woof woof", and fish says "plutha".
By the way, this sponge is my new favorite toy. I love to help clean my tray by scrubbing furiously (maybe inherited Mom's OCD cleaning tendencies?). There is another video of me on Youtube (see link to the right of this post) squeezing it to get bubbles while making my funny faces.

Vacation Favorites

Mom picked some of her favorite pictures from our vacation. Kalyn was chasing me in the park, cracking me up. She showed off her pretty new "tatoo".
This is my cute ruffled bootie walking on the beach.
Saying "Night Night" to Elmo.
Nap Time.
Dad and Papa walking... Mom likes the way they walk exactly the same... only Papa doesn't have a huge pink diaper bag.
Good morning!
Playing hide and seek with Papa. Basically, I would run out of the room, then run back in, laughing hysterically when Papa looked at me.
Sharing a secret with Nana. Mom likes how it's just us girls chatting like old friends.
Dad and I walking down Main Street. Mom can't get enough of my sweet little toddler walk. I'm a big girl now!

Cape Cod

Long time, no blog! We spent last week with family in Falmouth, Cape Cod. I was ecstatic to see my cousin Kalyn, and to have a new audience for my cute new tricks! The week was absolutely perfect! Our rental house was in a great spot, we could walk to town or the beach. Mom and Dad fell in love with the area for being "very New England".Some days we walked up to Main Street for breakfast and a stroll. My "strolling" is becoming more of a run, so they had to keep a close eye on me.My aunts were super fun- they babysat me one night while Mom and Dad had a date. They taught me what a fish says ("plutha plutha plutha" with your tongue sticking way out).We walked to the beach in the mornings to see the geese. One day Papa came with us while everyone else was asleep. Personally, I like to start each day by 6am. Mom says that all the cool kids wait until 7am, and maybe I should consider that if I want to be cool, too... My Nana was tons of fun- she showed me a neat trick with the toy net!Kalyn was my favorite part of the whole week! She introduced me to the Mama Mia soundtrack, helped me collect rocks and shells on the beach, and found all of my tickle spots! We had fun beach days- it was nice up there- not too hot!The measure of any good vacation is the quality of nap time. Mom said her favorite part of the week was being able to dress me up every day and take a million pictures. She tried to capture my new confident walk and funny facial expressions. We loved our little trips around the area- one day we went to the lighthouse in nearby Woods Hole. And, don't even get me started on the night life! Those people kept me up 'til the wee hour of 8pm almost every night! One night we went to dinner and I showed my toddler wrath when the pizza took too long to arrive. I told Mom that I would eat lemons to pass the time, but I didn't have to be happy about it. My Aunt Julie and Cousin Kalyn took me on my first boat ride. We took a ferry to Martha's Vineyard for the day.
We played in the park,

walked all around,
and saw the gingerbread houses. My wild hair was a big hit on the ride back. It simply could not have been a better time. I love my Boston family!!!
