Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! This is what a Turkey Trot looks like in Florida:
It was a good "winter" break- except the part where Mom had to work every day. So we had a great time with Dad and Thanksgiving dinner with great friends at their house.
The spirit of Thanksgiving was strong in our house.
The spirit of an unseasonably warm month was also strong.
We kind of like it when Mom has long days at work, because Dad always takes us to the greatest place on earth: Dinosaur World. Picnics with Cheetos, fossil digs, gem mining- you just can't beat it.
Vacation days are the best.

Happy 10 Year Anniversary!

Mom and Dad celebrated 10 years of marriage this fall. They still laugh a lot with each other, and like being with me and Ryan, so I think that's a really good sign for the next 10 years. Their anniversary gift to each other is a house, coming soon in 2016!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! With love from Darth Vader, Baby Vader,
and Medusa.
This year we chose to be villains, but with a focus on their complicated, misunderstood backstories...
Here we are trick-or-treating with the photobomber.
And here is Vader at the end of the night, cheerfully handing out candy like it's his job.
Halloween is the best!

Fall Softball

I LOVE SOFTBALL. Gymnastics, tennis, karate, and soccer were fun, but softball is awesome.
I chose number 21, since that was Dad's number in college. It was definitely a lucky number for me.
Our team was the Dolphins, but we renamed ourselves the Highlighters.
Mom and Dad loved watching me learn the basics, like hitting a coach pitch,
running the bases,
and making up cheers in the dugout.
But the best was watching me rock as the catcher.
My favorite part of the season was getting coached by Dad. He seems to know a little about softball.

T-Ball

We know what Ryan's favorite part of the Mean Sardine's season was- trophy day! Our favorite part was watching him learn how to play baseball in that adorable uniform.
We love spending time at these fields, getting dirty with red clay, getting sweaty, drinking Gatorade,
and catching lizards.
We love having Dad out here, teaching us all the good parts of the sport.
Mom hopes Ryan loves playing baseball as much as we love watching him play it.
