Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays Everybody! We are going to see family for a few days, so we'll put up more pictures soon.

Can't Slow Me Down

Here is my new chair (Thank you, Marmee and Poppy!), it makes me look like a little princess on her throne! Today Mom noticed that I was slowly making my way across the room. Here is where I started... First stop, Moxie's tail...Then on to the TV table...Mom thought it was funny that I managed to drag most of my toys with me...Who needs to crawl when you can just do a dignified scoot?

Love My Paci

Here is a video where I surprised my parents with my new love of the paci. Ignore Dad's funny cough- they were making this video because I usually crack up when Dad fake coughs or gags. Mom's favorite moment is at the very end when I give her a smile behind the paci.

Maggie Turns 7

My sweet Maggie is 49 years old today (that's 7 in human years). This has probably been her toughest year, considering the fact that she had a "stress-induced" seizure a few weeks after the arrival of a new baby and move across the country. Here is a look back at my good girl and how she has been my gentle friend. At first all I remember is a flash of her cold wet nose when she would sneak up to sniff me. She was afraid of me for a while- Mom said it's in her nature to be a Nervous Nellie.I let her fix my hair on some days- she prefers the wet, messy look. I think she likes the way my shampoo tastes. This picture is from the first time that Maggie sat next to me and stayed longer than 20 seconds. We had a nice time- she licked my hand and stretched out next to me on the floor. Mom said that Maggie is my protector, my "big sister". Maggie is the one who scared away the burglar for Mom in North Carolina. She also went Cujo on a dirtball man who jokingly lunged at Mom when she was pregnant in Texas. Maggie didn't think he was funny, so she tried to bite his face off. We love our sweet girl, and hope that the next 7 years are as memorable as the last.

Nana and Papa's Christmas

This weekend my Nana and Papa came down for a visit and I had such a great time! The best part was how much they made me laugh- I found my inner performer for them. We got my picture made with Santa (here I am practicing my pretty pose). We went to the beach on the one cold day of the weekend... of course, it was 80 degrees again the day after they went home! I didn't want to miss a minute, so I skipped most of my naps while they were visiting. It was much easier to grab a snooze on the go. It was the best weekend, ever! At night we all snuggled up and watched a movie after my bath. I hope they come back to see me soon!

Holiday Spirit

Got my picture taken with Santa today. The toddler in line before me screamed in terror and had to be taken away, so everyone assumed that I would react the same way. Not quite... I leaned back and got comfortable, then made a few faces for the camera. If you click on the picture, you can get a closer look at my tongue. Nana and Papa are here visiting from Boston, so they got a kick out of this Santa experience!

7 Months Old

Can you believe that I am 7 months old? Here I am in my new car seat- we love the cow print. Dad says I am advanced, so he is teaching me to use his Blackberry. It's pretty awesome, it tastes the same as the yummy TV remote. These are my new favorite toys now. My personality is really shining through lately. We went to a play date this week and Mom was cracking up at how bold I was compared to the other girls my age. First of all, I was huge next to the dainty, delicate baby girls that we met (Mom said not to worry, she loves the fact that I am 75th percentile- it means that I am strong and healthy). The other girls were quiet and shy, staring at me in paralyzed fear while I was squealing and laughing and grabbing all of their toys. They weren't as fun as my friends at school, Charlie and Reid. Maybe I've been hanging out with the boys too much... I'm still in touch with my girlie side, because I was mesmerized by this pretty vanity set in the store.
