Emotions

Mom says when you look up "toddler" in the dictionary, it should say "volatile". It's tough to be me right now! I have strong opinions about things that I want, but I don't know how to articulate them (this picture shows how mad I get when the blue cup will not fit into the yellow cup). What I do know is how to scream, screech, and bang my head on the floor to get Mom's attention. My new facial expressions are a glimpse into my future as a dominant middle schooler. This is my determined leave-me-alone-I-am-busy-right-now look, and I've even perfected an irritated scoff for Dad when he tries to take me away from my toys for bedtime. I'm still a very sweet, loving kid, which is why my parents are amused at these new developments.Luckily, I am easily distracted, especially by my horse. Dad taught me how to push the button on his ear to make him say "neigh!" (it still freaks me out a little, kind of like a jack in the box, you know it's going to be scary, but you can't stop pushing the button). Then, there are my other 2 "horses" in the house... they always make me feel better, no matter what drama the day brings.
