Mom and Dad understand that this "spirited" phase is just me trying out my new independence and testing boundaries. Mom picked these sweet pictures for the post, because she knows I'm still a good girl. She tries to focus on our happy times, like when I told her "I'm gonna bless you" right before I sneezed.
Who would believe that this sweet face could be capable of such drama?
- Nap Time has become my favorite battle. I scream and throw my books, yelling, "I don't want to go to sleep!". Then I either fall asleep on the couch at 4:00 and ruin my bedtime (see picture above), or act like a raging banshee for the entire afternoon because I am over-tired.
- Potty Training is on hold. It's fun to pee pee in the potty at school with all of my friends, but at home I prefer to pee in the car seat, on the front porch, and on the carpet. Mom said she might as well put down newspaper and call me Puppy.
- Getting dressed by my parents is the perfect time to wiggle and run. I can either jump up and down while they try to wrestle my feet into pull-ups and shorts, or collapse into a pile of tears when they offer clothes that I don't want to wear that day.
- Time Out is my least favorite place. It makes me very mad when Mom puts me there, and I let her know by saying: "Not good choices, Mama! Not nice! Not okay!".
