El Niño Christmas

This El Niño winter feels more like Christmas in July. We sweated through the tree stand in 85 degrees to pick out the perfect tree, took it home, turned the AC down to 65, put Michael Buble and Adele Holiday on Sonos, and pulled out the decorations!
The magic of Christmas really starts when our elf Murmel shows up- we love him almost more than Santa.
There are practical preparations to consider in December, like hair cuts.
Reconnaissance work to make our wish list for Santa.
The Santa visit (this year I asked for an American Girl Doll, and Ryan asked for Anything Star Wars).
School program rehearsals.
Ryan was Charlie Brown in his class program- he was great!
And afternoon special time alone with Mom and Dad,
which basically stinks if you go anywhere other than Claire's.
