Look who we ran into in Newport, Rhode Island!
We tagged along with Dad on his work conference.
Mom took us out while Dad was conferencing. I tried the famous lobster roll.
Ryan continued his national survey of grilled cheese sandwiches.
We toured the Breakers mansion.
Turns out, when the Vanderbilt children stayed in this summer cottage in the early 1900s, they had to take 3 baths a day and change clothes for different activities up to 7 times a day.
And there was some pretty gold in the wall trim, too.
Watching the New England sun set from the roof of our historic old hotel was pretty great.
But the best part was Aunt Julie's text...
