AMI Family Portraits

Our vacation this year on Anna Maria Island was simply perfect. This ultimate family sunset photo session was inspired after Nana Mugs made a couple of stalking passes down the beach photobombing Family In White having a professional session (that's Nana in black on the right).
First we captured Aunt Julie's wicked awesome CrossFit sunset handstand so she can blow it up as a poster.
Then we lined everyone up for their official Christmas card portraits.
The best parts of the week were having Big Mike back in the rotation, and celebrating Joy Joy's second trimester! This sweet baby will be the greatest Christmas present ever!
We don't know if our new cousin will be a boy or girl, but we do know it sure as heck won't be named Meghan or Maureen.
The title of Beach House VI MVP was no surprise... Kalyn continued her lifelong streak as our favorite person in the world. She is going to high school next year, where she will completely dominate the mean girls and worms academically, athletically, and beautifully.
Aunt Julie blew us away with her natural talent for the newest fitness craze- acroyoga.
I love these girls, they teach me important life lessons, like how to photobomb as gracefully as Nana!
Mom and Dad love them, too. We are campaigning to get Kalyn to go to college down here so the whole family will relocate closer to us in our tropical paradise.
Because we need more pig piles in our lives.
And more time with our favorite people.
Ryan was not a big fan of staying up past his exhausted 3-year-old bedtime to take pictures at sunset.
So maybe we'll get our family picture next year.
But he did like playing beach games while we goofed with our pictures.
The most important aspect of any award-winning shot is getting total commitment out of your subjects.
And trusting the Chi Omega tip for excellent pictures: smile with your mouth open while saying "Ha Ha Ha".
Shout out to the people who patiently cooperated with our amateur photographer, especially those who really gave it 100%. Dorchester Strong!
Even Mom brought her introverted self out from behind the camera for a smile.
We are already excited about Beach House VII next year!
Namaste. And thank you ever so much.
