We joined a club where you get to borrow boats!
You can bring friends and fishing gear.
And enjoy the day.
Dad drives, Mom looks out for sudden shallow spots in the bay.
Then we go really fast and try to hit all the waves. Until we find the perfect spot for fishing.
Dad taught us how to put the bait shrimp on the hook so they don't jump off.
He says I'm really good at casting.
Ryan is learning,
but he still thinks you are supposed to reel in your line like it's a sprinting underwater shrimp race.
Sometimes we have the most fun playing in the bait bucket,
and having an oceanic picnic with a crisp cool Perrier. That's right, I know how to call it
Pear-ree-AYE.
It's safe to say that after living here for 7 years, my parents are finally learning to embrace The Salt Life.
