This post is mostly for Mom to save a moment that captures our family dynamic perfectly right now. We are getting into games at night, so Dad taught us to play Jenga. Fun fact: Dad competed in Jenga competitions at college. We never knew he had a secret talent!
Ryan also has a secret talent. It's called excitement. He says things like "Snap, Crackle, Pop!" when he makes a good move, or "That's what I'm talking about!". But he HATES to lose.
We're working on good sportsmanship with him- for times when he gets volcano mad at losing, or blames a bad move on somebody else. Like this night, when we saw him knock down a few pieces, but he insisted it was me.
We're trying to teach him to harness that competitive nature in a positive way, but sometimes it's hard to stop laughing long enough to grab that teachable moment.
