Magic Kingdom

After our amazing morning at Animal Kingdom, we all headed back to the room for naps, then grabbed the shuttle to "Cinderella's House". We caught the end of Mickey and Minnie's show on the stage in front of the castle. I was starstruck... until the Wicked Witch came out and shot green fireworks. I told Mom she was "a little bit scary", and kept this concerned look on my face until she assured me again and again that the witch was not coming back. Luckily, being stressed out gave me the patience to wait in line for 20 minutes to ride Dumbo. The highlight of my life to date was riding "Cinderella's Horse" on the carousel, I was beaming like this the whole time! The next morning we were all still glowing from our adventures. We met for breakfast to talk to the boys about all the roller coasters they got to ride. It was hard to say goodbye after our awesome weekend, I am going to miss them all so much!
Dad said I was asleep by the time we pulled out of the hotel parking lot, but I managed to keep my new Minnie Mouse ears on.

Disney

I just had the best time of my life! We met up with my super fun cousins at Disney World so they could show me around "Mickey Mouse's House". I don't know which part I liked best- going to the parks,or hanging out at the resort. The grown-ups seemed to have a blast watching us have fun, taking pictures and laughing at almost everything we did. Mom says that I am the perfect age, able to hang with the older boys (I copy everything they do, like hanging from the railings, and running through big sprinklers that I would never attempt on my own),
and still explore with the younger girls (we did a LOT of giggling!).
Joli is still fearless and hilarious (she was the only one of us willing to stay at the window to face down that scary tiger). She has developed the terrifying habit of running away from her Mommy. She is FAST. It's funny when we are in a safe, enclosed place like the resort hallway... not so funny when it's in a crowded Disney wrap-around line. Mom says she will be really good at track when she grows up.
Keeley is still a total sweetie. She came to my house for a sleepover before we all met up at Disney. Mom took pictures of our awesome time that she is going to put on the blog later. Her Dad, Robert, is one of my favorite people now. I kept walking up to his knees and giving them spontaneous hugs.
One of the highlights of our morning at the park was meeting Goofy and Pluto. I gave Goofy a big hug, and then stood, speechless, in awe, as Mom took my picture. This was just a hint at how blown away I was going to be at The Magic Kingdom...

Hook 'Em Horns

Dad has been coaching me for the Longhorn football season...
helping me get accustomed to wearing eye black,
and teaching me how to make the Horns (sometimes it takes a minute to get it perfect).

We got video of my new battle cry (Hook 'Em Horns! Go Texas! Texas Fight!):

Big Girl

My parents are reminded every day that I am a Big Girl now... like when I throw my Snow White purse over my shoulder and say "I'm going to the grocery store to get some milk", or "I'm gonna take the trash around". The funniest was tonight when I looked up with my Very Serious Face and said: "Mom, you need to calm down!". When they aren't laughing at me, my parents are pretty cool about going along with all of my projects, like giving Dad a makeover. The best part of being more grown up is that I get jokes now, and I can say funny things on purpose to make Mom and Dad crack up. Mom says we have to work on something called "manners for a lady"... like when I toot, I'm not supposed to laugh or yell "I tooted!"; I'm supposed to say "Excuse me". Even though I am very busy being a Big Girl now, I still reserve the right to be the same sweet baby who needs a good cuddle once in a while.

The Pledge of Allegiance

Look what I learned! I surprised Dad tonight by reciting The Pledge when he picked me up from school:

Gymnastics

Today was my first gymnastics class, 45 minutes in a super fun gym. At home I love to climb, roll, and jump off furniture, so Mom and Dad thought I might like a formal class.
In my 2-year-old group, our Moms take us through each station while we learn different skills. I did the circuit twice, then decided that the trampoline was my favorite... so I broke away from the group to go back! I would jump down the trampoline, laughing hysterically, then run back to start over as fast as I could. Mom was cracking up at one point, when I turned around to look at myself in the mirror and said "Name is Kelsey!", then jumped off in a wild frenzy. The best part was the big foam pad at the end, where I could launch myself off the trampoline and land in a big laughing heap. I can't wait for next week's "nastics" class!

Labor Day Weekend

I love it when Dad gets to stay home from work! Today we spent an awesome Monday at Busch Gardens checking out creepy monitor lizards,
splashing around in Elmo's World,
and drinking my first Slushie!Dad was pretty juiced up after drinking his Slushie... he started showing off his new "Jersey" pose. Mom said he may start putting mad gel in his hair and get an Elmo tattoo.
The most hilarious part of the day for Mom and Dad was watching me watch the monster roller coaster, Shiekra. They thought it would be too scary for me, but I LOVED it, especially the big splash!
We hopped on the train just as it started raining, a perfect time to see all the animals on the African safari.
Our last stop was the gorilla exhibit, an attempt at therapy to help me move past The Incident at the Chattanooga zoo (a big gorilla gave me a heart attack when he walked right up to the glass). First, we made nice with the baby gorillas in front...
Then we snuck up on the sleepy Daddy gorilla...
Nope, NOT READY.
We got over the scary gorillas when we saw the cutest thing, ever: sleepy otters!
Dad said it was a perfect holiday for him, especially at the end, when we camped out to watch Finding Nemo. I wish every day was Labor Day!
