We kicked off my birthday weekend today with a party at school, complete with tutu and cupcakes! Mom admits that she has given up her resistance to The Princess Culture. My two best friends at school wore similar dresses for their birthdays in the last few weeks, so I basically demanded it for my special day. Mom said we would compromise- I can dress like a princess, but the theme of my birthday at the park tomorrow is going to be "Garden Party". That's okay, because I love bugs and butterflies as much as my tiara. Mostly I just love twirling around and dancing with my friends!Luckily I recovered from the Stomach Bug From Hell in time to celebrate my birthday. For most of this week I was stuck at home feeling very, very yucky. Mom even considered taking me to the ER (which is a BIG deal for my Mom). Usually I am sick with viruses for a couple of days, then bounce right back. Not this time. Dad took this picture of pitiful me on my favorite pillow: my little brother.
The good news is that I got better in time to move into my Big Girl Room. It is decorated with butterflies, trees, flowers, birds, and owls. I picked out the paint color to look pretty blue like the sky, and asked Mom to make everything else pink, pink, pink. I LOVE IT!
Mom loves it, too, but she had a tough time moving me into my new room. She was so comfortable with me being a sweet baby in the crib/toddler bed. Now she sees that I am a little lady in this huge bed, growing up way too fast!
