Wedding Weekend

It's official. I love weddings! This weekend we went up to Boston to help Aunt Joy Joy marry Big Mike. I performed my pivotal role as one of the adorable flower girls, and came away with an awesome new uncle!
The church where they held the ceremony was beautiful, and intimidating. Mom thought I would be overwhelmed- but with Kalyn by my side at the rehearsal, it was like any other day, walking down the aisle like I owned the place. My Nana, Papa, and Aunt Julie were also there, making the whole weekend experience terrific.Joy and Mike did a good job, sitting quietly in their seats during the service and paying attention to the priest, just like me. They didn't get to color with markers in their Disney coloring books, but they seemed really happy anyway. Nana was a hot mess over perfect placement of the pew bows at the rehearsal, but all of her hard work paid off on the big day- they were gorgeous. Mom and Dad were impressed with how organized and weirdly calm everyone seemed during all of the events. Or maybe they were just too preoccupied with entertaining a 3 year old to notice any stress! The rehearsal dinner was super fun. I got to play with my two new best friends while everyone pigged out on outrageously good Italian food and chocolate cake. The grown-ups seemed to have a great time, too. Everyone was happy and laughing.Big Mike gave a nice speech thanking everyone for being a part of their special weekend. He's a good guy. His family is really nice, too. Mom says that good people come from Cleveland. One of the best parts of the weekend for me was getting my first mani-pedi. Kalyn helped me pick out a pretty pink color for my toes, then I demanded a lovely purple for my fingers. It was a busy few days, but I managed to sneak in little power naps to keep me going. I was up late every night, but still managed to wake up every morning at 5:45am, ready for the next event!
